Sometimes . . . . . . .

Sometimes, the tools and weapons I gave are not enough. Some of us, including myself, need more. We have spent a long time looking at porn and many times it can be war, to be free from it.

Personally, I would not trade my journey for anything. The victories God has given me have been beyond awesome and have drawn me closer to the Lord.

The first weapon is all about keeping yourself safe online when you use a search engine. ChristiaNet1.com was able to create a Google Search that automatically turns on a “Safe Search.” Many time porn sites will target key words that have little or nothing to do with their site. They do this to get the description or images in front of you, which they hope will suck you in.

By using Safe Search you eliminate that possibility. Use this site to give yourself the online accountablity you need. Also, I have it set as my home page so I don’t even have to think about it. Here is the link:

The “Must Have” Weapon (Day 4)

You Have Made It

Congratulations! You have made it to your final day. The first 3 days were probably quite a journey for you. I am sure that you are getting a lot out of all the tools I have shown you. They sure have made a difference in my life. Like I said before, these tools are the best ones I have found over the past 10 years.

This weapon will shut porn off in your life. This is a big step, because some or most of our sexual sins are triggered by porn. I have experienced this must have weapon myself and can honestly say it makes a world of difference.

The “Must Have” Weapon

This weapon has helped many people become porn free and is the best weapon out there you could possible have. Some of you may have guessed it already, it is an Internet filter. Currently, I believe Safe Eyes is the best one on the market and is the one my family uses. It is a service subscription which means you will pay a yearly fee. The fee is a good price at $50 dollars a year, which breaks down to about $4.20 a month. Not a bad price for purity.

Also, on a side not, do not buy Safe Eyes if you can not afford it. If you are strapped for cash please use all the other free tools until you can afford it. I have always wanted to create a blessing for people, not a burden. Here is the link:

Power Pack Your Day (Day 3)

Step 1 Purity Devotionals

What I have found so far is two daily devotional websites dedicated to battling all types of sexual addiction. The first one I will list has all its devotions based on scripture. This is a wonderful benefit because you can have scripture to take along in your journey to fight the enemy. Porn Free is a pretty awesome website in general, which gives you devotionals for the whole year. The link is:

The second website I found does a good job but does not go in depth as much as the first one. If you are in a hurry or real busy (it is a 3 min devotion) this one is great. Another idea for this second on is if you fell you need extra strength for the day you could do this one along with the first one to give you that extra power. They change the devotional daily, so by clicking on the link below you will have a fresh one everyday.

A personal note on devotions is you only get out what you put in. If you do have a sexual sin you are fighting and tell yourself I will read these everyday and I’ll be fine, you will be missing the point of these. Devotions are a wonderful time to connect with God. It is a time to lay down the things you have to do for the day and be able to just focus on Him. This can also work if you only have 3 min. The time isn’t important, what is important is if you come to the devotion prepared to learn and grow from it.

Step 2 Purity Podcast and Purity Radio

This is one of the few tools you can take on the road with you. You can subscribe to both of these via iTunes. These two tools are great for learning about what sexual purity is and what it is not. It is a process to start thinking about sexual purity in a correct way. This is a process you must begin.

I recommend that both of these podcast be listened to in conjunction with one another. There are a lot of past shows you can listen to if the topic relates to what you are going through.

The first podcast, as I mentioned yesterday, is Blazing Grace. The show is put on by Jayson Groves and Taff Wennik. These guys are honest as well as understanding. Personally, I enjoy when they have guest appearances. Here is the link:

The Roadmap To Victory (Day 2)

Lets Get Started

Hope you enjoyed day 1 and if you haven’t prayed the prayers, then you need to go back and do so. As we go through these days I will be saying a lot of stuff like “don’t expect to achieve purity if you don’t do the steps.” If I offend you I apologize in advance. I do understand pain, shame and guilt. I have had much of that in my life as well. But my desire is to see you break the cycle you are in and I know only giving 90 percent won’t cut it. You have to commit to go all the way with this thing or it will not work.

In my past I lived with a bunch of girls when i was little, so i did some girl things and kids picked at me and called me a sissy and punk. So now the devil is trying to put in my head that i’m gay but in my heart i know i’m not so please pray for me and I know that God will make a change in my life.

These magazines or films kind of promise that you will find the erotic picture you have always been looking and longing for, but the satisfaction does not last for long. As time goes by, many may experience the same as alcoholics and drug addicts: they need more and more powerful stimulus to experience the same stimulation as before, because the amount of pleasure diminishes.

Please pray for my husband. He has been battling an addiction to strip clubs and strippers for over 2 years now. He is an extremely prideful man and refuses to admit his problem or get help. I know that I know that I know that God can change this. I have been fasting and praying and I am so blessed that God has taken a strong hold of me. We have three children who understand that daddy is fighting a demon. Please, please pray for my husband’s deliverance from this generational curse!

I think it is a great idea even if we are still dealing with Christian sexual addiction. It is nice to take a peak into what the future might look like to see that all the battles your fighting could be used to help somebody else.
